Note |
---|
For PAM4 interfaces or SyncE Jitter testing, specific modules MUST be used. These modules have been tested by Calnex to ensure they fulfil the requirements for functionality and performance needed to enable correct operation and guarantee the integrity of the timing measurements. Use of other modules may result in a failed test or incorrect result. For SyncE Wander and PTP on non-PAM4 interfaces, most modules should work correctly; known exceptions are detailed below. If you have a module that is not recognised, please let us know. |
PAM4
The modules listed below are those that MUST be used for a PAM4 interface. These modules have been tested by Calnex to characterise and compensate for asymmetries in the transmit and receive paths to allow the timing performance of the device to be tested accurately.

SyncE Jitter
The modules listed below are those that MUST be used for SyncE jitter testing. These modules have been tested by Calnex to ensure that clock recovery can be bypassed and that they have sufficient bandwidth to allow the jitter performance of the device to be tested accurately. These modules are also known to operate correctly for PTP and SyncE Wander.
