Version 7.0

Enhancements

  • Bandwidth Throttle now supports up to 20MB input buffer

  • In multi-user mode, port reservation can now be performed via the REST API

  • Updated Start / End Point statistics, added individual / global port statistics reset, added individual / global port link reset (via right-click)

  • MPEG H.264 impairment re-implemented. Added H.265 dynamic payload and H.265 support

  • Added new Markov Packet Drop mode

  • Accumulate and Burst impairment how supports delay time of up to 1 second

Defect Fixes

  • Start Point packet duplication did not work correctly in some scenarios with real world traffic

  • Fixed Packet Corruptor enable / disable via REST API

  • Bandwidth Throttle and Delay re-enabled disabled impairments on map stop via REST API

  • Jitter disabled on map stop via REST API

  • REST API did not always report enable / disable status correctly for some impairments

  • Jitter no longer holds on to a single packet on disable

  • A map created with the G.1050 wizard would cause the system to reboot

  • Traffic Replay with large packets could cause the system to reboot

  • Packet Drop impairment did not return correct settings via REST API until traffic passed through it

  • Port reservation did not handle non-contiguous licensed ports correctly

  • Maximum time for Accumulate and Burst was lower than expected when Jumbo mode enabled

  • RTP Statistics TAP performance improved

Version 6.1

Defect Fixes

  • [SNE-548] Improved Bandwidth Throttle performance with TCP-based packet streams

  • [SNE-403] Fixed an issue restarting maps containing a packet capture TAP in overwrite mode

  • [SNE-406] PCAP files downloaded via RESTful Remote Control API did not contain a .pcap file extension

  • [SNE-453] Improved Packet Delay throughput for modes other than Constant

  • [SNE-455] Added enabling and disabling of Traffic Capture, Packet Corruption and Generic Modifier via the RESTful Remote Control API

  • [SNE-503] Fixed an issue that would prohibit large maps from starting successfully

  • [SNE-511] Fixed the Packet Reorder distance-based mode and improved throughput of this impairment

  • [SNE-478] Filters downstream of a VLAN filter on the “failed” path no longer increment their offsets by 4 bytes

  • [SNE-491] Fixed an issue with VLAN filters whereby traffic with non-zero PCP values would always fail

  • [SNE-569] VLAN IDs are now constrained to 0-4095

  • [SNE-492] Revised and updated the DiffServ filter DSCP list

  • [SNE-456] Fixed an issue with Jitter at high packet rates

  • [SNE-125] Fixed an issue that caused Jitter to reorder packets

  • [SNE-241] Fixed a memory leak

  • [SNE-533] Added admin SSH portal documentation

  • Fixed an issue that could cause a 10G port to advertise incorrect sync speeds

  • Updated supported Ethernet card firmware versions

  • Fixed an issue that could cause an upgrade to fail if the system clock was not set to the correct time

  • Fixed a Packet Drop issue in the time constraints functionality

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the Virtual Router to stop processing packets

  • Added additional debug information to the support logs

Version 6.0

Features

  • RESTful Remote Control API

  • Link Flapping (via API)

  • Jumbo Frame Mode, supporting Ethernet frames up to 9216 bytes
