Paragon-X: Why do I see Sequence ID errors for Peer Delay Response Follow Up, Announce and Signalling Messages?

There is a known issue where Paragon-X GUI may incorrectly identify sequenceId errors for Peer Delay Response Follow Up, Announce and Signalling messages by showing a [!] symbol in the “sequenceId” column. An example is shown in the screenshot below.

Note that the the PDEL-R-FOL sequenceId correctly increments, but each row is highlighted in RED, denoting an error. The same can be seen for the Announce messages.

This is because of the way Paragon-X analyses sequenceId values for the Signalling, Announce, and Peer Delay Response Follow Up (PDEL-R-FOL) message types. The sequenceIds for these three message types are compared with each other, instead of being compared only for messages of the same type. Other message types, e.g. SYNC, PDEL_REQ, are correctly analysed by the Paragon-X GUI and do not show this issue.
