Paragon-X: CAT and PFV won't launch from the Paragon-X GUI
When I try to open CAT or PFV using the shortcuts in the main Paragon-X application, nothing happens. I can start either of them using the Start Bar or direct from File Explorer. How can I fix this?

Versions 25x of CAT and PFV, which are available as part of the Paragon-X 28x release (v41.07) and as a standalone installer, are based on Visual Studio 2019.
On Windows 7, this requires that a newer Visual Studio runtime component is manually installed.
To resolve the issue, install the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 available from Microsoft at https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=48145. Make sure to select the 32-bit version when prompted.
This issue has also been seen on Windows 10 when only the 64-bit version is available. To resolve the issue, follow the link above and install the 32-bit version.
Note: Microsoft support for Windows 7 ended in January 2020, so testing of future releases on this OS is likely to be very limited. We recommend upgrading to Windows 10 when possible to avoid future issues:
