If you have a Spirent SNE-X and a valid service contract, the latest release is available through the Spirent Customer Service Centre (CSC). On the Downloads page, select the Impairment Product Line.

A CSC login is required to access the Spirent software download area. If you do not yet have a login, please register on the site.

If you have a Calnex SNE-X and a valid Calnex Support Service (CSS) contract, the latest release can be downloaded from the Calnex Software Download site. Release notes are also available from the same location.

A Software Download login is required to access the software download area. If you do not yet have a login, please contact support@calnexsol.com.

Software upgrade instructions can be found in the SNE-X Operating Manual, accessible from the GUI of the instrument.

Features

This is the initial release version for SNE-X. The SNE-X platform features a brand new high performance backplane that supports:

  • Up to 28 Ports 10G/1G

  • Up to 16 Ports 25G

  • Up to 8 Ports 100G

  • Improved 100G Performance (vs standard SNE)

  • Improved scalable performance (vs standard SNE)

  • Addition of remote KVM to enhance field support

  • Addition of front panel screen to enhance user management of the unit

Fixes

  • Toolbox search – Error when attempting to drag a node from the search box onto the map

  • Failing to handle corrupted timeline CSV files

  • Generic Filter – Crash when length value is > 16 bytes

  • WebUI – Undo paste operation fails when links are involved

  • Traffic replay – Fails to handle pass-through traffic in certain scenarios

Known Issues

  • Packet Reorder by distance does not reorder the correct number of packets when the packet rate is lower than 1,000,000 packets per second. Use packet reorder by time instead

  • Jitter Impairment reports incorrect packet utilisation

  • FCS correction functionality has been removed in SNE-X. It may return in a future release
